David Warner is up for a conversation he says England have played really well and they have been relentless. Amazing sleeves have come from Head. He says it was a close battle between Khawaja and Head and Head got the nod and then marked a brilliant century.He says it’s not clear whether this will be their last day or not, so get out there, have fun and make the most of it. England were in a good position, but Head’s brilliant joke took the game away from them. They have to blame each other, mistakes on the pitch, missed catches, missed opportunities. Labuschagne and then, once he fell, Head came out of nowhere and made matters worse.
Everyone looked tired, the bowlers, the defensive players and even Root, who didn’t know what to do to get back into the game. David Warner started the day with Marnus Labuschagne coming out the other side later and the duo played very well the first session with a lot of poise, but Labuschagne fell right after releasing a partnership above 150. After that the wickets started to fall and even Warner wasted his century. That’s when Tr avis Head, who looked good in the middle, just wanted someone to stay on the other side while he scored most of the points.
The tailors did a really good job of helping him reach the benchmark as he raised his first century from ashes. Absolutely wonderful sleeves from Travis Head, scoring his first hundred ashes, something to dream of. 196 trips and it looks like they haven’t been completed yet. Travis Head walks away to a standing ovation from Gabba’s crowd as well as his teammates and he rightly deserved it.
