While the Telugu version of Pushpa should have got off to a shocking start, the Hindi version also surprised many with its box office numbers.
Pushpa with Allu Arjun has been released in several Indian languages and the strategy has paid off. While the Telugu version should have got off to a shocking start, the Hindi version also surprised many with its box office numbers. Directed by Sukumar, the film lasts almost 3 hours, which is the main concern for its reception with Hindi audiences.
Fortunately, the response has been pretty good and word of mouth has been encouraging as well. Being a pan-Indian release, many found it surprising that the film was not aggressively promoted with its Hindi version. But the outcome of day one dictates a whole different story.
Most box office enthusiasts predicted a 2 crore start for the Hindi version of Pushpa. However, the movie starts off much better with 3 crore * entering on day one. Interestingly, that’s more than Yash’s KGF Chapter 1 (2.10 crore).
In 2018, KGF clashed with Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero. Here, Allu Arjun’s film faces stiff competition from Marvel’s SpiderMan No Way Home. So it’s a very good deal for the Hindi version!
Speaking of the collection of all languages, Pushpa started with 44-46 crore which is huge! In addition to Allu Arjun, the film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Anasuya Bharadwaj and others in key roles. Rumors have it that the next installment will be released in 2022.
Meanwhile, we recently reported Allu Arjun’s commissions for Pushpa. We learn that the actor has significantly increased his fees by charging 30-32 crore out of 12-14 crore.
