“In the coming days, the AAP will become a national force…the party will emerge as the national and natural replacement for Congress,” Chadha said, addressing party workers in accommodation rented by the chief candidate of the Bhagwant Mann left for Sangrur. The whole country is turning to Arvind Kejriwal’s model of government and “the people of Punjab have wiped out the state with the ‘broom’ (AAP symbol)”, he said. “The era of traditional SAD and Congress parties is over in Punjab and now AAP will give clean and honest government,” the state AAP told the trading currency.

He blamed political opponents for waging a “negative campaign” against the AAP by calling its leader Arvind Kejriwal a “terrorist”. However, Kejriwal, The Chief Minister of Delhi and National Coordinator of AAP, has set a positive agenda and the result is before the people. he added. “When an ordinary person decides to go into politics and clean up the system, no politician can be sure of his position,” he said in reference to the AAP’s performance.

“We will give Punjab a clean and honest politics,” he said, adding that the AAP would give Punjab a progressive government. The Aam Aadmi party appeared to be heading for a clean sweep in Punjab after taking the lead in 88 of 117 assembly seats after the first rounds of voting on Thursday, with Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, SAD Patriarch Parkash Singh Badal and former CM Amarinder Singh among the heavy weights who were in the queue. An eerie silence fell on the residence of outgoing Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi in Chandigarh and the ancestral home of former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal after their parties were defeated.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also thanked voters in four states – Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur and Goa – on Thursday for placing their trust in the BJP and the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In a series of tweets, Shah said: The great victory in Uttar Pradesh is the victory of the village, the poor and the farmers’ unwavering faith in Prime Minister Modi’s welfare for the poor.
