Box office takings of ‘Radhe Shyam’ Day 1: Despite mixed reviews, film earns Rs. 48 crore

Although “Radhe Shyam” received mixed reviews from audiences from all angles, the film is expected to perform well at the box office. The film reportedly fetched over Rs 48 crore in India on its first day across all languages. shows the star power of PanIndia star Prabhas releases his hit “Baahubali”. The film reportedly had 76% occupancy in its Telugu release, while slightly less in the other language versions of the film.

According to the few reliable sources, the movie reportedly grossed the following figures in Telugu States (in Rupees) on its opening day.

Nizam: 10.50 crores

Ceded: 3.70 crores

Guntur: 2.60 crores

Krishna: 0.95 crores

Nellore: 1.08 crores

The film reportedly grossed over Rs 28 crore in Telugu states, while in Hindi, it grossed over Rs 4.8 crore nett on its first day. In Overseas, the film earned over $1 million in the United States alone, while in Australia, it earned over $1.13 crore. In some areas, the film would even become the biggest debut of the year setting new records.

“Radhe Shyam” is directed by Radha Krishna Kumar and the film is jointly financed by Pramod Uppalapati and Vamsi Krishna Reddy of UV Creations with a Tseries. The film was released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam, with Pooja Hegde in the title role. Bhagyashree Patwardhan, Sachin Khedekar and Murali Sharma in other prominent roles.
